Whether you have had a long day on the road and looking for a place to stay, or you’ve come to Mataranka for the weekend, we’ve got everything you need.
Mataranka Roadhouse sells fuel, has a general store with auto accessories, a grocery store, dine in and takeaway food and has accommodation with 14 cabins with ensuites.
Mataranka is only an hour south of Katherine and 4 hours south of Darwin. It is a great community, well serviced and has two thermal springs which are very popular with the tourists. It is also conveniently located right on the busy Stuart Highway and Mataranka is the gate way to the famous barra country – Roper River. There is Telstra mobile phone and internet coverage at Mataranka so keeping in touch is a breeze.
Our Roadhouse
BP Mataranka is your One Stop Shop. Its not your typical servo. It has clothing, footwear, TV’s, computers, phones, camping and fishing gear, homewares, couches, toys and so much more.
Mataranka Cafe
We now have three cafes. The deck cafe accessible from the roadhouse and the two outdoor cafes. With our new tourist information centre we have a rest stop and information on Mataranka for you to peruse whilst eating our many takeaway meal options
Cabin Accommodation
Mataranka Roadhouse’s 14 cabins, equipped with TV, DVD and private bathroom, are a haven for many a weary business or holiday traveller. They are perfect for an overnight stay for up to two people per room.
Mataranka Bakery
The philosophy of Real Food Real Coffee has seen the roadhouse transform from a servo hotbox to a bakery offering fresh salad rolls, fresh bread, apple turnovers, chocolate eclairs, donuts and Mataranka Mango muffins.
